Evening Details :
Akela will talk about House Keeping including how to roll your scarf.
We’ll practise some traditional cub ceremonies such as our flag parade.
We’ll play some games that were discussed at the Unit Council.

Cub District Camp

Our district (Moocooboolah) will be holding a camp over this weekend at Bundilla Scout camp.

We’ll be running lots of activities over the weekend and it will be a great chance for all the cubs to meet others in the district and to get a few nights independent camping in their record books which will help them towards their badge work.

Evening Details :
We will select the item we’ll be featuring in our TropFest short film (pack vote) and then we’ll have an overview and hints.
We’ll need Patrol Leader parent or helper assistance with filming (more details will follow separately).
Family Camp Prep ahead of the weekend’s camping activities.

Group Family Camp

The Group’s Support Committee has started planning for this year’s Group Family Camp. The camp is for all Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Leaders, parents and carers. There will be a lot of fun for all, depending on the weather, there is kayaking, fishing, swimming, campfire, walks, and of course Spotto.

The Crossland’s Reserve is booked for both Friday night the 8th November and for Saturday 9th November. Most activities will be from mid day Saturday to lunch on Sunday. For those that can make it, Friday night is also very enjoyable.

Please keep the weekend free. There will be more information to come over the next couple of months. Clearly there is lots to organise on the weekend and beforehand. Please get involved.

Region Cub Scout Challenge

At this event, youth members will be going around in patrols doing different activities to work on there skills and to learn new skills. Each unit will provide a patrol of 6 youth members from the Cub section. If your unit has more than 6 youth members wanting to attend they will go on a waitlist.

Cubs must wear cub shirt, scarf and pants, enclosed shoes. Bring lunch and morning tea, water bottle, hat
