Joey is the first Section of Scouts, for boys and girls aged 5 to 7. It focuses on fun and friendship and is a gentle introduction to a world of challenges and adventures through Scouting.
Joey Scouts are encouraged to express themselves creatively, through games, stories and craft activities. From building monsters and spaceships from scrap items, to growing plants from seedlings and singing songs together, all Joeys develop a strong sense of belonging and an understanding of the world around them.
Joey Scouts learn how to socialise with other children and help other people. They also learn how to recognise native birds and animals and develop an understanding of the impact of our modern world on the environment.
Beecroft Joeys meets on Tuesdays 7pm to 8pm, during term time, at our “Cheltenham Hall” located on The Crescent, Beecroft (adjacent to the railway).
Please contact our group leader at groupleader@beecroftscouts.org.au to enquire about joining and we will get back to you soon.
